Terms of Service
Welcome to Zado. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use Zado. Zado is operated by Sefa Tanış ("Zado", "we", "us").
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, which is 16 in some regions) to use Zado. By using Zado you confirm you meet this requirement and can form a binding contract.
2. Your account
- You register with a phone number verified by a one-time code. You are responsible for keeping access to your number and device secure.
- You are responsible for the activity on your account and for the content you send.
- Choose a username that is not misleading, impersonating, or offensive. We may reclaim usernames that violate these rules.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Zado to:
- Send unlawful, harassing, hateful, threatening, or abusive content; spam; or malware.
- Share sexual content involving minors or any illegal material.
- Infringe others' intellectual property or privacy.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' accounts.
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
We may remove content or suspend/terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You can block and report other users in the app.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you send. You grant Zado a limited license to transmit, store, and process your content solely to operate the service (for example, delivering messages, and — when you enable them — translating messages or captioning calls). Messages are deleted from our servers after delivery and stored on your devices. See our Privacy Policy.
5. Optional features
Features such as real-time translation, live call captions, and voice-message transcription rely on third-party processors and may produce inaccurate results. They are provided "as is"; do not rely on them for critical, legal, medical, or safety-sensitive communication. You can disable them in settings.
6. Service availability & changes
We work to keep Zado reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may add, change, or remove features, and may suspend the service for maintenance or legal reasons.
7. Third-party services
Zado depends on third-party providers (e.g., Google Firebase, Twilio, Agora, and translation/speech providers). Their availability and terms may affect the service. App distribution is subject to the Apple App Store and Google Play terms.
8. Termination
You may stop using Zado and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or the law. On account deletion, your data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimers
Zado is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that translations or captions are accurate or that the service will meet your requirements.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zado and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or by other means. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence remain unaffected.
